The Zebra Symbol DS9208 has the capability to read all 1D, 2D and PDF barcodes from standard paper labels or from the screen of a smartphone, which increases a retailer’s ability to accept gift coupons and loyalty, rewards programs easier. Because the DS9208 is an advanced presentation barcode scanner, the barcode does not need to be aligned at a certain angle for a good read like a single-line barcode scanner requires, thus, increasing checkout speed at the POS station and increasing customer satisfaction. The DS9208 can also operate as a standard handheld scanner if need be due to its scan button (trigger); this feature allows the user more precise scanning if need be.
